When I'm in the beginning stages of any project, I like to think with paper and pencil. I use exercises like mind mapping and creating lists. I also research the topic before beginning to sketch out ideas for thumbnails. I want to know all of my possibilities with the research I obtain so that I can create the best product possible.
When I am ready to sketch out my ideas for thumbnails, I always want to take into consideration anything that is going to stand out, whether it would be a piece of text, or an important image, or a logo. I think about color schemes, typefaces, patterns, and much more. I want to understand how this design will benefit society.
At this stage, when I am ready to bring my designs to life, I always refer to my brainstorming and thumbnails and refer to my notes when needed. I like to experiment with the ideas I note with my thumbnails, and if I realize something doesn't seem right, I keep experimenting until I find what is beneficial and successful to the design.
ASPCA Posters
This project is one of my first web design projects while attending Millersville University. I created an online bookstore called The Bookworm's Dream. My intent was to not only create an online bookstore, but to also create an online portal for users to create bookclubs on. This updated website involves only the bookstore portion, I plan to edit the online portal as well.

This is my self-authorship project, a small handmade jewelry business called Amazing Grace Jewelry. This is the business card for Amazing Grace Jewelry. I wanted to aim for simplicity, modernism, and elegance, while also being fun and unique as a brand.
I wanted to create advertising for my small business by designing posters. This first poster is advertising for a summer craft fair. I added important information such as the date, time, and location of the event as well as promotional information like the website link, social media, and images of my jewelry for potential customers to visit and purchase the jewelry.
This second poster advertises a fall craft fair. I aimed for my craft fair events to be seasonal (spring, summer, fall, winter) due to the popularity of handmade jewelry sales during these seasons.
All products included for my self-authorship project (Amazing Grace Jewelry) includes business cards, posters, and finally a website. My website offers visitors a wide range of handmade jewelry available for purchase. There are options such as adding items to ones cart, purchasing items, asking questions about particular products, and much more.
